The Port Pirie Regional Development Board engaged Roger to update an existing Access database. This database was the main source of client contact and activity data for the PPRDB and provides a series of essential reports as well as critical mailout facilities.

The key features of Roger's input were -
      * Reviewing and understanding the existing database structure.
      * Assisting to scope the upgrade and added functionality.
      * Eliminating the data redundancy that had developed.
      * Interpreting our ideas and concepts that we had been unable to scope precisely.
      * Adapting the existing structure to incorporate the desired enhancements.

Roger quickly understood the quite complex structure of the existing database and was able to make the necessary modifications promptly, including efficient testing and debugging such that the enhancements were all available with the minimum of fuss.

This was achieved over a very short time frame and facilitated by the ease in which we could discuss issues and solution options with Roger and prototype some of the development. Roger creatively explored and employed advanced Access functions in order to provide us with the optimum solution.

We would use Top Ideas & Solutions for any further modifications to the database and most probably for future Access applications.

Your ability to analyse our circumstances and your skill in bringing together our three disparate data records into a functional data-base was very impressive.

Similarly your ability to interpret our operational needs and your skill in creating a system for accessing records by asset, donor, class, value, author etc.was appreciated and commented on by members.

Also your inclusion of the integrated reports for stocktake by asset,category, location, value etc. along with the form letter functions, has given us a Total Museum, client tailored and user friendly system that has the capacity to expand with our future increase in demand.

Your skill in training members and your provision of operating instructions and standard practices has enabled members to more quickly acquire confidence and will ensure a sustainable system.

I should also comment on your professional know-how in creating and hosting our new website with its embedded links that now provides us standing in the world wide web of information.

In conclusion you managed all of the fore-going without breaking our Bank.
